Snowing...again

Yes...it is snowing again! Despite the snow, we went for a jog in the stroller this weekend and stopped at the park for some playtime. The kids enjoyed getting their sillies out. Lilly especially liked riding her "horse".

Football Jammies

Lilly got a pretty new jammie set...a red nightgown with a matching robe. She has worn it pretty much every night since she got it; however at first she misunderstood the purpose of having 2 pieces. She just assumed that the robe was meant for her brother, so being a generous big sister, she put the robe on Davis. Much to our surprise he really liked it! But not to worry...it is much more masculine to wear a robe while playing football!

Today was a busy day. Aunt Kimmy is visiting from NY so Lilly, Davis, Mommy, and Aunt Kimmy all went skiing together in Beaver Creek. Mommy only got a picture of Davis and Mommy because Lilly and Aunt Kimmy were so super fast! After skiing Lilly, Mommy, and Aunt Kimmy went to the Bookworm in Edwards to meet the author of Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots? Lilly got all princessed up and enjoyed the author's reading of the book, not to mention her BFF, Quincy, was there to share in all the princess activities. Then Lilly went home with Quincy for a sleep over! Whew...and the day is not even over yet!

The whole Place family packed up and went to Snow Mountain Ranch in Winter Park, CO for a small vacation. Lilly cross country skied for three days in a row. She got pretty good and by the last day she was outskiing mommy and daddy! Davis tried skiing too, but didn't make it more than a few hundred feet...ohh well, maybe next year. We went to Snow Mountain Ranch mostly to ski, but they had a ton of other activities for us to do. One of the days we skied, went tubing, and swam in the pool, and then mommy went for a run. It was a family triathlon. Most of all we enjoyed spending a lot a QT together in our little cabin in the woods.

Skiing the Big Hill

Lilly and mommy went skiing on the big hill last weekend. It was super sunny and perfect for a day outside so Lilly and mommy packed up and went to Arrowhead. They rode the big chairlift and Lilly skied the entire run down Smooth Moos. Mommy was super impressed with Lilly's ability to link turns and stop; although Lilly prefered not to turn. Instead she prefered to do french fries, go flying down the hill, and stop when the hill flattened out. Daddy says she gets that from her mommy! As if!

Sledding and Skiing

Today was a fun day at the sledding hill. Davis and Lilly got big air going over the sledding jumps. All I heard was giggling under the dog pile of kids and sleds. Then, both kids took turns skiing down the sledding hill. Davis enjoyed it, but only when mommy was hanging on. Lilly LOVED it! She giggled her way down the hill in her pizza wedge...she even made a few turns towards the bottom.

I Like Stars

Lilly wanted to read daddy a book tonight for bedtime, but he is in Heavenly, CA for work. So we video taped Lilly reading one of her books, I Like Stars, for daddy to see; however we think everyone will enjoy Lilly's book on video. Night night daddy...we love you!
