Princess Pumpkin
Lilly carved her pumpkin this afternoon, and in typical Lilly fashion, she created a Princess Pumpkin.
Grasshopper Festival
Jeff is on the Eagle County Trout Unlimited board and each year they hold a fundraiser called the Grasshopper Festival. There is good music, fly fishing type games, a bouncy castle, and good food and beer. Davis really enjoyed all the fly fishing events that took place.

Kids Riding Their Bikes
Today was another beautiful fall day. We spent our afternoon practicing riding our bikes with NO training wheels. Here is a video of one of Lilly's attempts with the help of our neighbor Tony. She is not quite all the way there, but she is making progress and feels very proud of herself.
While I was working with Lilly on riding her bike, Davis crawled atop of our neighbor's bike, got a little shove from Tony, and off he went. Two years old and riding a bike! Needless to say, Lilly was a little bit mad at her brother and told him it was not fair! Her first lesson in fair is not always equal.

Wild West Days
Last weekend we went out to 4Eagle Ranch for Wild West Days, a fundraiser for the district schools. We went on a wagon ride, played lots of games, got prizes, and explored the Flight for Life helicopter. Davis and Lilly looked pretty natural in the helicopter. Who knows, maybe they will become pilots when they grow up!

Soccer Game
Lilly had her first soccer game today. She played for a large chunk of time in the first half. Some of her highlights included a couple of kick-offs and throw ins. She had fun, enjoyed the game, and likes the kids on her team and her coaches. Davis really wanted to play too...maybe next year.

Labor Day Camping Trip
Our first school vacation...a camping trip over Labor Day Weekend with our friends. We pulled the pop-up to a camp site only about 20 minutes from home and joined our friends: The Pribramskys, Alex Dow & Moe, The McLootas, The Hilmers, The Putnams, The Murrays, and The Laws. The kids played in a creek right next to the campsite, which kept them busy making a dam and a mud hot tub. They had tons of fun exploring, playing dragon, and roasting marshmallows on the campfire. The grown ups enjoyed some mountain biking, hiking, running, and exploring. Fun weekend for all!

1st Day of Kindergarten
Lilly had her first day of kindergarten...hard to believe. She already adores her teacher, has lots of friends, and thrives in the learning environment in her kindergarten classroom. I am so proud to see her on campus and acting so "kindergarten" already.
