Big Boy Bed

Davis' adjustment to a big boy bed has not been an easy one.  Since coming back from NY he has been getting out of his bed non-stop until he falls asleep on the floor of his room crying.  Well...that has all changed!  For the last three nights (going on four) he has stayed in his room after good night hugs and kisses and NO crying!  You will see he has three stickers on a calendar taped to his bedroom door.  Three stickers translated into a trip to the toy store where he picked out a motorcycle toy, which he is currently sleeping with right now.  Great job Davis...we are all so proud of you for being a big boy!

Lilly's Graduation

Our Lilly Bug graduated from her beloved Rumpelstiltskin Preschool.  She spent three great years with 6 amazing teachers.  They were kind, patient, and loving.  Thanks to all of her teachers for such an amazing job.  Lucky for Davis, that he just started Rumpelstiltskin and is already loving it just like his sister!
Class of 2011.  Lilly is second row on the left.

Fun at the Lake

Lilly & D playing on the beach.

Davis and Lilly holding Belle after their practice horse show
Davis launching off the dock...no fear!

Davis got pretty good at swimming on his own by the end of our stay.

Here are a few more pics and video of our last few days at the lake. We had fun, loved being with the family, and miss the lake already.

Enchanted Forrest

While in NY, we went to a water park in Old Forge just inside the Adirondack State Park.  The park was full of rides, water slides, and the forest had fairy tale and nursery rhyme villages...very fun to explore.  Upon arriving at the park cousin Katelyn asked if Lilly could go down the big slides with her.  Once we determined that Lilly met the height requirement away they went climbing up the hill, the stairs, and into the black tunnel of water slide.  Both girls emerged giggling.  Phew...it was fun, not scary.  After a few rides, Lilly and I decided to do the big black tunnel water slide together.  Oh My Golly!  I screamed in sheer terror the entire time, while my 5 year old daughter told me it was OK.  I was amazed at her bravado, while her mom cried like a baby!  Here are a few pics of  the mellow  slide and rides.

Last Camping Trip Before School Starts

School starts in one week, so we pulled the camper up on the trail behind our house and had one last camping trip.  Our friends, the Laws, joined us for some bike riding, playing in the dirt, and s'mores.  It was quick and dirty, but a lot of fun.  Here is a morning shot of Davis, Jacqueline Law, and Lilly eating bagels and drinking hot chocolate.  Oh...and Buddy too!
