Easter

Easter Morning! The Easter Bunny came to our house this morning! Lilly and Davis were so excited to find easter baskets full of fun little toys, books, and candy right by our front door. Davis had a ton of chocolate for breakfast and Lilly has really enjoyed all the little gifts, like a bunny necklace and a light up bunny rabbit. Thanks Easter Bunny!

Inaugural Pop-Up Camping Trip

Lilly and Davis riding bikes and playing at our campsite.

Davis and Brogan Murray having a bike race.

We did it...our first family camping experience. We took the pop-up, the dog, the bikes, and headed to Fruita for a fun family camping experience with the Murray Family. Mom and dad took turns riding their mountain bikes in Loma with Ronan, while the kids played on the rocks and in the dirt. We really enjoyed the camper experience, especially since it poured our last night. I think there was even a little bit of snow! Davis is still pop-up training, as he had a hard time settling in and sleeping. We may need to do some more pop-up training in the garage before our next outing.

Train Concert in Vail

Vail has an event called Spring Back to Vail to attract some visitors while the season winds down. All week long they have free concerts and events. Aunt Kimmy happened to be visiting the same night that Train was having a free concert in Vail. Since Hey Soul Sister is Lilly's favorite song, she came along too. We had a fun girl's night! Here is Aunt Kimmy and Lilly listening to the opening band.

Not wanting to miss a single thing, Lilly found her way to the front early on. She didn't move all night!

Lilly hugging her Aunt Kimmy and trying to be patient while waiting for Train to take the stage.

Trainette

Here is the lead singer of Train, Pat Monahan. He is energentic and entertaining. Lilly enjoyed watching him. She sang along to the songs louder than anyone around.
Here is a quick video of the performance. You can hear Lilly singing at the very beginning. Train's #1 groupie! If you look closely you will see a girl you recognize standing on stage right in front of Pat Monahan. He had security pull up a group of girls and called them Trainettes, his back up singers. Since we were so close and it was obvious that Lilly was the #1 fan, security couldn't help but put her up on stage. Once on stage though, Lilly looked like she was going to freak out.
Here you see all the girls singing their hearts out, and Lilly about to jump off the stage.

Trainette, Part 2

Lilly doesn't look quite as frightened. The girls around her are shaking their tails, while Lilly sways a little.
The concert was loud, so it was hard to hear Lilly. Here are her thoughts as translated by mommy: Hhmm...maybe this guy is kind of cool. He can sing after all!
Cracked a smile. OK, now I am having some fun.
Yahoo...this is super cool. I am a rock star!
It's official...Train gives me high fives. I think I am now in the band! In the words of Rapunzel, "Best Day Ever!"

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

Lilly has been asking to get a haircut for some time now. She said she wanted it short, just like mommy's and Quincy's hair. I wasn't really sure she would go through with it, but here it is: cute, adorable, and she just loves it! Good bye knots!!
